Oregon State University, a prominent research school, has nationally recognized programs in fields such as forestry, nuclear engineering, conservation biology, agricultural sciences, fisheries, pharmacy, wildlife management, and community health. OSU’s Ecampus also provides online graduate degrees and graduate certificates. The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities provides accreditation.
U.S. News & World Report ranked Oregon State University as #142 on its 2014 list of Best Colleges in National Universities. The same magazine also included the school among the top 50 on its Best Online Bachelor’s Programs list. Forbes ranked OSU as #58 in the West, while Academic Ranking of World Universities (provided by the Center for World-class Universities at Shanghai Jiao Tong University) included Oregon State University among the 101–150 grouping of best colleges in the world.
