Washington State University, a public research university, has received recognition for numerous programs such as veterinary medicine, chemical engineering, animal science, agriculture, plant science, food science, and architecture. The Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities provides accreditation. The Washington State University College of Business received accreditation from the prestigious Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB). The ACCSB provides accreditation to only five percent of business schools throughout the world.
U.S. News & World Report ranked Washington State University as #128 in the 2014 edition of Best Colleges in National Universities. The same magazine has ranked the university in numerous graduate school rankings, including as #19 on the best graduate schools for criminology list, as well as #21 on the list of Best Online Bachelor’s Programs and #7 on the Best Online Graduate Business Programs list. Princeton Review included WSU on its Best 378 Colleges list for 2014.
Washington State University Global Campus received the 2013 Sloan-C Award Ralph E. Gomory Award for Quality Online Education.
