Florida State University, a public research university known for its nationally ranked academic programs, has 100 centers, institutes, labs, and educational facilities. Academic Ranking of World Universities (provided by Center for World-class Universities at Shanghai Jiao Tong University) included Florida State University ranked in the 151–200 grouping of the best colleges in the world.
U.S. News & World Report ranked FSU as #91 on its 2014 list of Best Colleges in National Universities. The same magazine named the school the “most efficient high quality university in the nation” in 2014.
USA Today ranked Florida State University as the #4 best value public university in the nation, while the Journal of Criminal Justice Education ranked the school’s College of Criminology and Criminal Justice as #1 for faculty research.
